Principal Analyst (IT Infrastructure Management) – 12 Months Contract - #1109618

Your role:

1.     IT Infrastructure Management and Architecting

·       Design and manage the cloud and on-premises IT infrastructure, including production, staging, QA, DR and development environment.

·       Manage the configuration, provisioning, scaling, deployment, monitoring and security of resources in cloud and on-premises IT infrastructure e.g. Compute and storage, networking and connectivity, logging and monitoring, disaster recovery etc.

·       Manage IT infrastructure expenditure. Execute cost saving measures and rectify discrepancies.

·       Provide advice to other IT teams (eg, application team, database team, cybersecurity) to ensure the IT infrastructure and systems adhere to IT policies and best practices.

·       Monitor IT technology changes and take action to manage the impact of such changes.

·       Stay abreast of technology development.  Review IT infrastructure roadmap and design regularly to ensure they align with business objectives and fit-for-purpose.

·       Manage vendors, suppliers and contractors to achieve IT infrastructure objectives. User experience management of devices, applications and services

2.     Infrastructure Operations and Maintenance

·       Manage escalation of technical issues to L3 support (eg, service providers)

·       Investigate and execute corrective actions till resolution is achieved.

·       Support new IT infrastructure requirements

·       Routine maintenance such as patching, reconfiguration and other routine maintenance.

·       Data backups and replication.

·       Upgrades, refactoring and other major maintenance.

·       Renewals of equipment warranty, support contracts, software licenses.

·       Plan and execute system monitoring regime.

·       Develop and upkeep IT infrastructure documentation.

·       Manage the lifecycle of IT equipment and keep asset records up to date.

3.     Project Delivery and Solutioning

·       Design and implement IT infrastructure to support new and existing business systems while keeping cost and performance optimized.

·       Validate new IaaS, PaaS or SaaS solutions and ensure they fulfill architecture roadmap and cybersecurity requirements.

·       Manage project stakeholders, vendors and contractors to deliver the projects.

Your profile:

·       A degree in computer science, information systems or equivalents.  Diploma holders with equivalent skillsets, certification and experience will be considered.

·       Certified Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect

·       Certified Microsoft Azure Administrator

·       Hands-on experience in cloud solution architecting and cloud management (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).

·       Enterprise hybrid IT infrastructure management

·       Strong understanding across cloud computing and infrastructure components (compute, storage, network, data, applications)

·       Advanced knowledge and experience in cloud solution architecting.

·       Advanced knowledge and experience in enterprise hybrid IT infrastructure management.

·       Technically passionate and detail oriented. This is a highly technical role. The job holder must be comfortable with technology and has keen attention to technical details.

·       Sense of ownership.  The job holder must be highly self-motivated and take responsibility for the outcomes of the systems under his/her charge.

·       Motivated and Adaptable.   The job holder will be tasked to explore new technologies to support upcoming business initiatives or improve existing processes.

·       Good interpersonal and interactions skills. The job holder will be working closely with many colleagues in the Company on regular basis.  The job holder is required to form a strong working relationship with the other IT staff.  In addition, the job holder must be able to interact with business users effectively to gather their thoughts and requirements.
