Laboratory Technician (Construction Materials) - #1108928

Primary responsibilities:

• Sample preparation and testing using various laboratory techniques and equipment.

Specific responsibilities:

• Prepare and conduct tests on Construction Materials such as Steel and Concrete in accordance with relevant international standards.

• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory compliance in all laboratory operations.

• Ensure accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.

• Ensure good housekeeping.

• Manage inventory of laboratory supplies and equipment, ensuring optimal functioning and availability.

• Perform any other tasks as assigned by the reporting engineer or manager.

Requirements:

• At least NITEC / Diploma in a related discipline.

• At least 1 year of relevant experience in a laboratory setting preferred.

• Candidates with no experience are welcomed.

• Able to operate basic machinery.

• Willing to commit to OT, if required.

• Basic oral and written English.

• Familiarity with instrumentation, equipment and machinery used in the preparation of samples.

• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

• Willingness to learn.

• Ability to coordinate and work as a team towards common goals.

• Demonstrates judgment and adherence to SGS standards of ethics and integrity.
