Process Technician - #1108859

Responsibilities:

• 1. Perform material receiving, staging, material movement, sampling, charging operation and loading of finished goods per SOP.

• 2. Perform tank gauging, drums and packaging count as part of daily inventory movement tracking and month-end inventory count.

• 3. Monitor and control process variables of batch processes via PLC and on-site instruments per SOP to ensure quality and to operate plant in a safe and efficient manner. Respond to process alarms, upsets or abnormal process conditions according to established practices or / and procedures.

• 4. Perform laboratory tests on routine and non-routine samples.

• 5. Perform basic maintenance tasks of certain equipment such as replacing filters, connecting hoses, breaking flanges and cleaning of equipment.

• 6. Perform required isolations, flushing and Lock-out, Tag-out (LOTO) of equipment before handing over to other departments.

• 7. Perform routine tasks such as entry of production data and any other necessary records / logs, plant patrolling and maintaining proper housekeeping of work area.

• 8. Communicate effectively with colleagues including other units and during handing over of shift duties to incoming shift.

• 9. Responsible for issuing of Permit-to-Work (PTW) and ensure work activities are carried out safely on site.

• 10. Participate as member of Emergency Response Team in areas such as firefighting, rescue and loss of containment.
  

Requirements:

• Good mathematical skills.

• Basic understanding of chemistry concepts.

• Possess basic computer skills in Microsoft Office.

• Able to converse, read and write in English.

• Able to work long hours in an outdoor and noisy environment in various weather conditions.

• Able to perform manual handling of heavy loads (up to 25kg).

• Able to do extensive walking, climb stairs and ladders and work at height for extended periods of time.

• Able to perform 12hr shift work and on-call duties to provide coverage in unforeseen circumstances.
