Facilities Engineer - #1108220

Overview
Responsible for the smooth operation, upkeep, and enhancement of company facilities, including buildings, utilities, and related systems. Ensures safety, compliance, and efficiency while supporting operational and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety).

• Plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.

• Liaise with contractors and vendors for facility services and project works.

• Monitor energy usage and introduce energy-saving initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

• Support space planning, renovations, and facility improvement projects.

• Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records.

• Respond promptly to emergencies and troubleshoot facility-related issues.

• Conduct routine inspections of facilities and fire safety equipment.

• Assist in budgeting and cost management for facility operations.

• Collaborate with the QEHS & Facilities Management team to promote workplace safety and continuous improvement.

Ad-Hoc Duties

• Support renovation or upgrade projects.

• Work with EHS and CERT teams to strengthen safety and emergency preparedness.

• Undertake other tasks assigned by management.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities Engineering, or related field.

• 3–5 years’ relevant facility management or engineering experience.

• Advantageous certifications: ISO 41001, Fire Safety Manager (FSM), IFMA CFM/FMP.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• Knowledge of ISO standards, energy management, and sustainability practices.

• Familiar with local codes, regulations, and safety standards.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.

• Able to work independently and cross-functionally.
