The Senior Application Engineer (Motion Control) works with clients and the sales team to develop, commission and troubleshoot motion control systems distributed or developed by the company. He/she also contributes to the development/test of R&D prototypes.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop motion control solutions for customized applications according to customers’ requirements.
Provide on-site application support and troubleshooting for motion controller, PLC, HMI, Servo driver, motor, encoders and other motion control peripherals.
Perform system testing, evaluation and commissioning of motion control systems.
Propose and generate bill of material, wiring diagrams, cable drawing for motion systems
Preform product evaluation and performance benchmarking for motion control peripherals.
Provide training to customer.
People Requirements:
Minimum degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Control Engineering, or other relevant disciplines.
Minimum one-year relevant working experience in automation industry.
Able to read electrical wiring diagram and mechanical drawings.
Knowledgeable in control principles such as PID tuning and servo loop topology or PLC/PC based machine control system with hands-on experience.
Knowledgeable in ACS motion control.
Basic programming skills, Such as Scripting languages, C#, C++.
Independent, self-motivated with good communication skills.
