Vertiv is looking for a Thermal Technical Engineer ready to expand their career into sales. Brief Job Description:
The account manager role develops relationships as a trusted advisor with a portfolio of clients, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders. The role configures, prices, and quotes solutions for the customer while bringing in other team members to find cross-selling opportunities. After securing the order this role manages the order to meet all customer requirements to maximize profitability for the office and company. As new company initiatives are created, this role is responsible for supporting and driving those initiatives in their territory. Additionally, this position requires that the candidate manages, maintains, and executes an executable sales plan for successfully delivering against annually established individual and team sales quota goals.
Responsibilities:
Develops and executes Enterprise Sales Plan for each assigned account to achieve revenue targets and grow market shares.
Identify and manage Vertiv Thermal & Power products and services to client representatives, such as end users segment of assigned accounts / government, engineers and other professional and technical personnel at commercial, industrial, government and other establishments.
Develops and maintains Vertiv product-specific and industry related technical expertise through internal corporate training and external resources.
Collaborates with other Account Managers in the territory to offer the best possible customer experience to Vertiv customers.
Achieves or exceeds annual individual and team sales quotas.
Maintains a healthy and accurate pipeline in CRM with 3x quota level of personal sales activity.
Develops and grows relationships within established customer organizations.
Actively participates in key industry organizations in the local market.
Prepares accurate and detailed quotations utilizing Vertiv tools and processes.
Provides industry leading sales support to customers, clients, and end-users in assigned territory.
Builds rapport with customers through regular in-field customer visits.
Prepares customer submittals, from order entry to shipment.
Understands and is intimately involved in the assigned market.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical / business-related degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
2+ years of experience in account management, preferably within the data center, or critical infrastructure industries
Ability to learn technical data and translate it to others.
Proficient in executing tactical plans to win business.
Coachable and willing to learn.
Strong interpersonal skills a must – brings customer first mindset to internal and external interactions.
Self-disciplined with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
3-5 years of professional experience
Technical sales experience is a plus
HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Engineer/Procure/Construct design background
