Financial Accounting & Reporting
*Manage the full spectrum of financial accounting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of accounts.
*Ensure accurate preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with statutory requirements and deadlines.
*Maintain systematic documentation and proper traceability of all financial records.
*Prepare bank reconciliations, quarterly GST returns, tax submissions, and other compliance reports.
*Oversee Accounts Receivables and Payables, ensuring timely collections and payments.
*Reconcile inter-company balances and transactions.
Budgeting & Forecasting
*Lead the budgeting and forecasting process to support business planning and decision-making.
*Analyze revenues, expenses, assets, liabilities, and other financial metrics to forecast short- and medium-term performance.
*Provide strategic financial insights to management for operational and investment decisions.
Compliance & Audit
*Liaise with internal and external auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretarial agents to ensure smooth audit completion.
*Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.
*Review contracts, including loan agreements, to ensure accuracy and compliance with company guidelines.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
*Manage cash flow to ensure operational liquidity and optimal fund utilization.
*Monitor banking transactions and relationships to support business operations.
Operational Support
*Partner with operations, sales, and other departments to align financial processes with business objectives.
*Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy within the finance function.
*Support other teams on finance-related processes, policies, and system enhancements.
Ad-Hoc Duties
Undertake other assignments as directed by the General Manager.
Job Requirements
*Possess at least a professional certification/degree in Accountancy/ACCA/professional qualification in Accountancy recognized by ICPAS or equivalent
*At least 3-5 years working experience in Accounting and Finance
*Good knowledge of budgeting and financial analysis techniques. Ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
*Hands-on preparation of full sets of accounts experience is a must
*Hands on experience using MYOB will be an added advantage
*Preferably with external audit experience
*Possess strong work ethics, good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to perform the core job duties accurately and to prioritize and deliver within tight deadlines
