Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to ensure cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
Identify and establish relationships with profitable suppliers and initiate strategic business partnerships.
Align procurement, service management, and corporate objectives to support overall business goals.
Represent procurement initiatives at both global and regional levels.
Conduct audits on trade documentation and contract terms to mitigate risks, collaborating closely with the legal department to ensure favorable contract terms.
Negotiate with internal providers and external vendors to secure advantageous terms and conditions.
Authorize the procurement of necessary goods and services in line with company policies.
Finalize purchase details for orders, IT services, and deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate fulfilment.
Review and evaluate existing contracts to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
Monitor and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve operational efficiency.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure clarity of specifications and company expectations.
Anticipate changes in supplier and client negotiating power and adjust strategies accordingly.
Analyse data to predict unfavorable events and develop control strategies to mitigate risks.
Manage risks associated with supply contracts and agreements to protect the company’s interests.
Control procurement spending and foster a culture of long-term savings and cost efficiency.
Conduct quarterly vendor performance evaluations with key vendors within the Asia Pacific region.
Collaborate with the internal service management team to consolidate requirements, service scope, and fees into a single contract for customers.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Procurement Manager, Procurement Officer, or Head of Procurement with a track record of successful procurement management.
In-depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques and market analysis.
Strong negotiation and networking skills to build and maintain supplier relationships.
Proficiency in supplier or third-party management software to streamline procurement processes.
Excellent decision-making and numerical skills to analyse data and make informed decisions.
Experience in data collection and analysis to drive procurement strategies.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities to lead and motivate the procurement team.
