Responsibilities

• Examine animals to diagnose illnesses, injuries, or health concerns.

• Perform routine and complex surgical procedures, including spaying, neutering, and soft tissue surgeries.

• Prescribe medication, administer treatments, and monitor patient recovery.

• Provide preventative healthcare, including vaccinations, parasite control, and wellness checks.

• Advise pet owners on nutrition, general care, and medical conditions.

• Interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, ultrasounds, and laboratory results.

• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for each patient.

• Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations, clinic policies, and safety protocols.

• Supervise and mentor veterinary nurses, technicians, and support staff.

• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay updated with veterinary advancements.

Requirements

• Degree in Veterinary Medicine/Science (DVM or equivalent) from an AVMA, AVBC, or RCVS-accredited university, or equivalent recognised by AVS.

• Hold a valid Licence to Treat Animals and Birds issued by NParks Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS).

• Entry level are welcome to apply.
