Key Responsibilities
· Responsible for the overall manpower planning and day-to-day management of the ground handling ramp services team
· Responsible for monitoring, managing and ensuring the service delivery level as well as compliance to processes and procedures for airside operations
· Monitor, assess, coach, mentor, and report on ramp team performance as needed and drive ongoing improvement
· Implement, maintain, improve, and closely supervise all safety and security measures related to aircraft, vehicle, personnel, and equipment on the ramp area.
· Lead by example to foster and maintain an environment where mindset of staff and culture is the safety of our team and customers is of paramount importance
· Investigate and report delays, irregularities, safety and compliance concerns, share lessons learned, and develop solutions for future prevention
· Ensure that there are effective planning methods and procedures in place to ensure that there are adequate resources, both manpower and equipment, to meet operational needs
· Ensure that equipment and vehicles are available and maintained in excellent condition, clean, organized, and free of hazards and clutter for team to perform job functions effectively
· Supervise and fulfil all administrative duties in a timely manner to include scheduling, training, discipline and team member performance development
· Solves conflicts/irregularities in a timely manner with appropriate follow-up actions for resolution
· Ensuring your team achieves defined key performance criteria, including but not limited to on-time performance, service response time, productivity targets, effective rostering, compliance, safety and audit performance pertaining to airside movements and ground service equipment operations
· Continuously develop and improve the team’s working knowledge of ground handling operations, dangerous goods, security, and emergency response policies and procedures; and ensure training is sufficient and timely
· Assures that all personnel on the ramp have the applicable training for the scopes they are assigned (e.g airfield driving, ground support equipment, marshalling etc.), and documents any training provided for personnel
· Ensures the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all personnel on the ramp
· Other duties as assigned
Requirements
• Class 3 driving state license is mandatory with a clean record
• 5 days’ work week (within Mon-Sun) and willingness to work a flexible schedule including 24-oncall, night, weekend-shift duties and holidays.
• Hands-on experience to tow aircrafts and perform airside GSE work
• Working experience in hospitality or MICE industry desired
• Great physical fitness and strength
• Proactive, passionate, meticulous and with a strong safety mindset
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Punctual and excellent customer service skills & attitude
