Responsibilities
- 50% Hands-on mechanical testing/50% process enhancement/management
- Provide technical leadership in metallurgy and materials engineering, including analytical techniques, testing methodologies, and problem-solving approaches.
- Develop and enhance testing capabilities to meet customer requirements.
- Lead high-volume testing operations with rapid turnaround times, supporting engineers and technicians to deliver compliant and accurate results.
- Act as a technical liaison during ISO/IEC 17025 accreditations processes, customer audits, and proficiency testing.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance lab efficiency, workflow effectiveness, and service quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical consultation, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure engineering integrity.
- Support training and mentorship of junior engineers and technicians to build internal technical capabilities
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in metallurgical evaluation, mechanical/materials testing, and welding-related applications.
- Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 is a plus
- Strong technical foundation in materials engineering and analytical testing techniques.
- Strong knowledge of ASME, AWS, ASTM, and ISO standards related to materials and welding is a plus.
