 Job Responsibilities:

• Edit and proofread manuscripts, proofs, and other related materials for clarity, accuracy, coherence, appropriateness, and alignment with the product concept and house style.

• Evaluate submitted manuscripts and work closely with authors to refine and enhance content. Provide editorial guidance and assist in content restructuring or writing when necessary to ensure alignment with approved proposals.

• Collaborate with graphic designers on cover design, layout templates, and overall visual presentation to ensure the final product is engaging and visually consistent.

• Oversee the full publishing cycle from manuscript development to final publication, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

• Contribute actively to the development and execution of the team’s publishing roadmap, including content conceptualisation and planning.

• Propose new publication ideas and titles. Draft and present compelling publishing proposals that align with market needs and organisational goals.

• Assist in promotional activities, including the creation of marketing materials, conducting product briefings, and representing the team at book fairs and industry events.

   

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism or relevant fields.

• Minimum 2 years in editorial or teaching.

• Good knowledge of local education system, curriculum and learning pedagogies.

• Knowledge of publishing processes.

• Well-organised and deadline-oriented.
