Job Brief:
As part of our next leap of growth, we are currently searching for a Business Planning Analyst to support the Director of Business Operations, Strategy and Regulatory (part of the CEO Office) in Enterprise Business Planning, Strategy and Corporate Development.
The nature of this role gives candidates an enterprise level view of the business at large, exposure to senior management and opportunity to understand the end-to-end business value chain through cross-functional interactions.
To be successful in the role, the candidate must be comfortable working with numbers and familiar with Microsoft Excel. The role would also require good business writing skills and have displayed leadership potential in either professional, school or personal settings.
As the working environment is like a start-up, the candidate needs to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and lean environment.
While some experience in the Telco / ICT industry is preferred, this role is open to aspiring fresh graduates with good degrees (1st class / 2nd upper class/ Dean’s List), who are looking for a good exposure to the ICT industry with a chance to rotate amongst the different functions, while having the drive and willingness to be coached / taught the ropes of the business.
Responsibilities:
Enterprise Business Planning
Work closely with key stakeholders to consolidate information on revenue forecast syndications.
Prepare dashboards and reports of key business performance meant for the senior leadership team and board of directors.
Support the director in the preparation of quarterly board meetings.
Assist the Director in the consolidation of information for submission of industry surveys and regulatory information.
Enterprise Strategic Planning
Support SPTel’s strategy development and target setting sessions, including market research.
Consolidation of progress of key strategic initiatives.
Track and participate in strategic initiatives such as the SPTel Innovation Program.
Corporate Development
Assist Director in preparation for key engagements with external parties such as VIP visits by regulators and government agencies.
Support the people engagement agenda as part of the CEO Office function together with the People Engagement lead.
Support the Director to execute the duties of the enterprise data protection office.
Support the Director in sustainability reporting and PDPA duties.
Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by superior from time to time.
Role Requirements:
Degree/Diploma in Business Administration or relevant discipline with experience in business analysis/ planning.
Experience in ICT /Telecommunications will be advantageous
Fast learner, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Please note that shortlisted candidates would be required to pass a short amplitude test in terms of business writing and Microsoft excel skills before going to the actual interview stage.
