Process Technician (6 months’ contract) - Your future position?
As a Process Technician you work independently on complex assignments. Operate chemical production equipment and machines, to produce fragrance products of varying complexity in accordance to quality policies to meet desire deadlines. Follows established procedures, batch instructions and records in production.
Responsibilities:
Perform commissioning and qualification activities.
Independently execute chemical process by operating designated chemical production machines and equipment.
Select intermediates or raw materials, move and load into production machines.
Perform in-process quality testing to ensure customer specifications are met. Identify deviations and document/communicate them in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures. Contribute to continual improvement efforts in designated areas.
Understand bill of materials and/or formula specifications, so the proper quantities of materials are added in the proper sequence.
Manufacture product in a safe and timely manner and according to predefined process instructions to meet specific quality standards.
Accurately read control instruments, prepare neat & accurate records for all operations as required.
Perform maintenance on the production equipment. Able to troubleshoot complex problems independently and provide recommendation for correction.
Prepare product packaging for next step in production or for final shipment to customer according to department specifications.
Maintain neat, orderly and clean shop floor and workplace at all times and complete all sanitation and housekeeping duties as required.
Work in accordance with all relevant requirements including but not limited to GMP, OSHA and internal safety guidelines.
Provide on the job training for new operators and guidance to less experienced employees.
Main Requirements
GCE “N” or “O” Level or equivalent, NITEC / Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or manufacturing related.
Secondary Level or equivalent with considerable experiences in Pharmaceutical, Chemical or manufacturing related is acceptable.
1-2 year of experience in Pharmaceutical, Chemical or manufacturing related.
Able to incidental lift objects of 25 kg.
Willing to work in a 3-shift or 12 hours shift system.
Technical Skills:
Basic Chemistry knowledge
Basic PC skills, including competency in MS Office products (Excel, Word, Power point)
Experience in operating forklift and/or in-house fork truck certification is an added advantage.
Basic knowledge of cGMP manufacturing processes and cGDP.
Basic command in English in both Written and Verbal communication skills
Experience in operating RF devices.
