We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Senior Microsoft 365 Administrator to manage and optimise our Microsoft 365 (M365) environment. You will take ownership of M365 administration across the organisation, ensuring seamless operations, high user satisfaction, and strong compliance with security and governance requirements.
This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, proactive problem-solving, and user-focused support. You will play a critical role in strengthening our digital workplace infrastructure and driving adoption of modern collaboration tools across the business.
Key Responsibilities
M365 Platform Administration
Manage tenant-wide settings including Conditional Access, Enterprise Applications, and policy configurations.
Oversee user account lifecycle management – provisioning, deactivation, password resets, MFA setup, and group assignments.
Administer Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams and related services to ensure reliability and performance.
Configure and manage mailboxes, shared mailboxes, distribution lists, and email forwarding.
Utilise the Microsoft 365 Admin Centre and PowerShell scripting to automate tasks and monitor service health.
Security & Compliance
Serve as the first line of response for Azure Active Directory (AAD) security alerts and user activity anomalies.
Conduct bi-weekly reviews of privileged access rights and activity logs.
Implement and manage compliance features including data loss prevention (DLP), retention policies, and eDiscovery.
Administer Microsoft Intune for device enrolment, policy management, and mobile device compliance.
Collaboration Enablement
Support SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams configuration to enhance digital collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Assist departments in leveraging M365 tools effectively to meet business needs.
Training & Documentation
Develop and maintain up-to-date documentation on system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Deliver user training and guidance on Microsoft 365 and Intune best practices.
Vendor & Integration Management
Coordinate with external vendors to assess compatibility, compliance readiness and service quality.
Support the integration of third-party applications with the Microsoft 365 environment.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience administering Microsoft 365 in a corporate environment.
In-depth knowledge of:
Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Azure AD
PowerShell scripting and automation
Intune administration and mobile device management
M365 security and compliance capabilities
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across teams and support end-users effectively.
Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert or Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
Experience with third-party integrations and vendor assessments.
Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture principles.
