We are looking for a dynamic and energetic team-player who is keen to join and grow with our team as an Executive, Finance.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Executive supports Dover Park Hospice in assist in the monthly closing of books and preparation of monthly audit schedules.
Job Scope:
- Post donation income and maintain accurate accounting records in Business Central (BC) Donor Module.
- Enter daily donations, update restricted donation reports, and reconcile transaction reports against collections.
- Verify payments, issue receipts, and follow up on cheque returns.
- Print thank-you letters and donation receipts on a weekly basis.
- Record fixed asset transactions and coordinate annual physical verification with Heads of Department (HOD).
- Prepare annual fixed asset schedules for audit purposes.
- Post supplier invoices for payment processing and prepare debtor statements and third-party billings.
- Perform general ledger postings including fund utilization, accruals, and prepayments.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet schedules and support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist in audits (including Ministry of Health projects) and annual budget preparation.
- Lead process automation and system improvement initiatives.
- Handle fundraising project queries, prepare related profit and loss statements, and support ad hoc reconciliations and reports as required.
Requirement
- Degree or Diploma in Finance/ Accountancy or related discipline.
- Preferably 3 - 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in healthcare industry is a plus.
- Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to details and good organisational skills.
The successful candidate will be initially offered a 1-year contract and expect a monthly basic salary up to $4,200, commensurate with experience.
