Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Assess and validate equipment and hardware demand requirements with technical justifications.

  • Participate in equipment benchmarking, budgeting, selection, delivery, installation, and acceptance (buy-off), including upgrades and performance evolution planning.

  • Define performance standards, maintenance procedures, and support methodologies. Provide technical guidance to subcon maintenance teams, including troubleshooting and escalation handling.

  • Lead start-up of new tools and drive continuous improvement initiatives for equipment performance.

  • Manage equipment inventory and transfers to sustain production demands.

  • Oversee fixed asset reconciliation, and support equipment decommissioning and disposition management.

  • Provide technical support for equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, failure analysis, spare parts planning, and skill training.

  • Address tooling-related issues (EWS probe cards, FT load boards, sockets, burn-in boards) to ensure equipment and tooling reliability at subcon sites.

  • Lead and manage projects to deploy continuous improvement policies and sustainable equipment solutions.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors/subcons on matters related to equipment utilization, service quality, cost, and efficiency.

  • Collaborate closely with internal product divisions and subcon manufacturing teams on yield analysis and recovery during critical equipment breakdowns.

  • Drive equipment-related technical changes, and manage associated production and quality risks.

  • Attend industry seminars and actively participate in global internal forums to benchmark and share best practices.

  • Support the manager in implementing equipment management policies and executing long-term improvement strategies.

Job Knowledge/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Strong engineering background in Final Testing or Burn-In Testing processes.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment, preferably in back-end operations focused on Final Testing.

  • Solid understanding of the semiconductor manufacturing process flow, especially in final test and finishing stages.

  • Hands-on experience with ATE (Automated Test Equipment), probers, handlers, burn-in test systems, scanners, and hardware/tooling troubleshooting.

  • Familiarity with testing methodologies, programs, and system integration within semiconductor environments.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to clearly identify, articulate, and resolve technical issues.

  • A proactive team player with strong initiative, self-motivation, and a keen sense of responsibility and urgency.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts effectively.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-precision, and collaborative environment.
