Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) (9-10months Contract) - #1103011

Working Days : Monday to Saturday
Working Hours : 8AM to 5PM (Subjected to site working hours)
Duties and responsibilities :
1. Site Safety Management
• Monitor and enforce compliance with Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health Act and its subsidiary regulations., client requirements, and company safety standards.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections to identify hazards, unsafe conditions, or unsafe acts.
• Ensure all workers and subcontractors follow safety protocols, wear appropriate PPE, and comply with cleanroom rules (if applicable).
• Keep up to date with WSH policies applicable to non-notifiable workplaces.
2. Risk Assessment & Permits
• Prepare, review, and update Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) specific to AMHS activities (e.g., equipment rigging, elevated work).
• Manage Permit to Work (PTW) systems, including hot work, electrical, working at height, and cleanroom entry permits.
3. Incident Management
• Respond to and investigate safety incidents, near-misses, or violations.
• Prepare incident reports and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
• Maintain incident and accident logs, and track follow-up actions.
4. Safety Training & Inductions
• Conduct site safety induction for all workers, including vendors and subcontractors.
• Provide toolbox talks and safety briefings for high-risk activities (e.g., lifting, manual handling of heavy AMHS components).
• Keep training and certification records (e.g., SIC, work-at-height, CSOC, BCSS) up to date.
5. Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain and update all safety-related documentation, including checklists, inspection records, equipment certificates, and audit findings.
• Submit regular safety reports to the project manager and client, highlighting observations, corrective actions, and statistics.
• Assist in preparing safety documentation for audits or client reviews.
6. Coordination with Project Team
• Work closely with the installation team, vendors, and subcontractors to plan and execute work safely.
• Participate in daily coordination meetings and highlight safety risks associated with the work plan.
• Support scheduling of safety resources (e.g., scaffolding, barricades, signage).
7. Emergency Preparedness
• Ensure availability and maintenance of emergency equipment (fire extinguishers, spill kits, first-aid boxes).
• Support emergency drills and ensure workers are familiar with evacuation routes and emergency response procedures.
Qualifications & experience :
Must possess a WSQ Specialist Diploma in Safety & Health, or relevant degree.
Certificate of Registration by MOM as WSHO.
Good knowledge of WSH Act and other WSH related compliance.
At least 1 year of local practical experience relevant to the work performed by a WSHO.
