What You’ll Do
Provide strategic product stewardship to safeguard the business’s “license to operate” across global markets.
Manage and respond to customer enquiries on product safety and regulatory compliance, acting as the trusted expert for your portfolio.
Collaborate closely with the global product safety team to maintain and oversee EHS master data for products and raw materials, ensuring accurate safety data sheets (SDS) and compliant labelling.
Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring evolving chemical regulations, evaluating impacts, and developing robust mitigation plans for your product category.
Offer expert regulatory guidance to innovation projects, ensuring safety and compliance from ingredients through to finished products.
Partner with country experts to navigate trade controls, customs declarations, and country-specific SDS & labelling within complex supply chains.
Oversee toxicology and ecotoxicology studies and fulfill regulatory registration requirements (e.g. chemical inventories, REACH-like regulations) when launching products in new markets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to tackle issue and crisis management with creative, practical regulatory solutions.
Drive the digitization of product stewardship, leading implementation of IT tools, intranet portals and databases to streamline processes.
Deliver product safety trainings and support impactful cross-business initiatives as needed.
What We’re Looking For
A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in product stewardship, EHS, or regulatory roles within the chemical industry.
Deep understanding of global chemical regulations and industry standards, with practical experience in GHS, SDS, product declarations, and registrations.
Working knowledge of polymer chemistry, value chains, and safe plant operations.
Familiarity with thermoplastics compounding and ISO 9001 quality standards is a strong plus.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, comfortable working in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
Project management abilities and a track record of driving initiatives forward are highly valued.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
