About the role
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Underwriter (Property/Casualty/Engineering) to join a leading general insurer. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction and growth of insurance and underwriting services.
What you'll be doing
Evaluate and assess complex insurance risks across property, casualty and engineering lines of business
Identify and develop underwriting strategies and pricing models
Review, accept and underwrite business within Risk Acceptance Authority and guidelines including claim matters
Mentor and train more junior underwriting staff to build a strong, capable team
Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to ensure seamless operations and superior client service
What we're looking for
Experience as an Underwriter in the property, casualty or engineering insurance sectors
In-depth knowledge of underwriting principles, pricing methodologies and risk management techniques
