  1. Support the Director of Sales in enhancing hotel market share across key and emerging markets.

  2. Develop and implement strategic sales action plans to achieve revenue and occupancy goals.

  3. Lead, coach, and manage the sales team including Senior Sales Managers, Sales Managers, and Executives.

  4. Provide insights on sales strategies, marketing campaigns, yield management, and budgeting.

  5. Analyze current and potential market trends; adapt strategies to remain competitive.

  6. Build and maintain strong relationships with major corporate clients and decision-makers.

  7. Oversee the solicitation and conversion of business leads from assigned geographical areas.

  8. Conduct regular sales calls, market visits, and client meetings to generate new and repeat business.

  9. Ensure timely responses to inquiries and effective cross-departmental communication.

  10. Monitor client contact reports to evaluate sales team performance and account engagement.

  11. Guide underperforming team members with coaching and development plans; report updates to DOS.

  12. Participate in major promotional events, travel functions, and trade shows to boost hotel visibility.

  13. Manage key corporate accounts, ensuring high levels of service and retention.

  14. Coordinate and oversee the development of all promotional and marketing materials.

  15. Lead initiatives to increase ADR, occupancy, and banquet sales, especially during low-demand periods.

  16. Support group business selling and servicing efforts to drive event-related revenues.

  17. Collaborate with finance on department budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking.

  18. Conduct regular performance appraisals, training, and induction programs for new staff.

  19. Maintain departmental SOPs and ensure adherence by the team.

  20. Monitor competitor activities and provide competitive intelligence to inform strategic decisions.

  21. Partner with corporate sales offices (e.g., Marriott) to ensure proper brand alignment and support.

  22. Produce timely sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis.

  23. Represent the hotel at major industry and events, acting as an ambassador of the brand.

  24. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field is required.

  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in sales and marketing within the hotel or hospitality industry, with at least 3–4 years in a senior sales role (Assistant Director, Sales Manager, or equivalent).

  • Proven experience in corporate sales, managing corporate accounts or leisure or MICE and handling clients in the hospitality sector.

  • A track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets, particularly in corporate sales and group bookings.

  • Strong leadership skills with experience in guiding and motivating a sales team to achieve revenue goals.

  • Ability to manage, coach, and develop the sales team for improved performance.

  • Ability to develop and implement corporate sales strategies to attract new business and retain existing clients.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build and sustain long-term relationships with corporate clients and other key stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to negotiate corporate contracts, rates, and terms with clients.

  • Strong ability to analyze market trends, business performance, and competitor activity to adjust strategies and meet sales goals.

  • Ability to think strategically and adapt to changing market conditions and client demands.

  • High level of attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple projects and clients simultaneously.

  • Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

  • Willingness to travel for sales trips, corporate client meetings, industry events, and promotional activities.
