About the role
ERIKS is seeking a talented Senior Sourcing & Procurement Executive to join our dynamic sales team based in the Tuas West Region. In this full-time role, you will play a vital part in supporting our sales professionals and fostering strong relationships with our valued clients.
What you'll be doing
1. Supplier & Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with the Service Centre Manager, on-site buyer, sales, customer service, and Account Executives (AEs) to understand requirements and obtain supplier quotations.
Collaborate with the product team and management to select the right mix of products that align with the company’s brand and customer needs.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, wholesalers, manufacturers, and distributors to secure better pricing, terms, and service levels.
2. Sourcing & Quotation Management
Source and obtain product pricing, lead times, freight charges, taxes, and duties (if applicable) from suppliers.
Prepare and submit quotations to the on-site team/customers within the stipulated KPI response time.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and quality standards with suppliers to optimize procurement costs.
3. Procurement & Order Coordination
Work closely with the order processing and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and resolve any supplier-related issues.
Ensure that all sourced products comply with relevant laws, safety standards, and import/export regulations.
Identify and assess new suppliers to enhance sourcing capabilities and mitigate supply chain risks.
4. Quality & Inventory Management
Conduct product inspections, quality control checks, and arrange certifications as required. ➢ Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent overstocking or shortages while meeting customer demand.
Identify and address potential risks, including supply chain disruptions and quality issues.
5. Market Analysis & Strategic Planning
Stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and consumer behavior to refine sourcing strategies.
Assist the Assistant Director – Business Support, TCO, and on-site teams in setting competitive and profitable product pricing.
Continuously optimize cost structures by identifying cost-effective suppliers and shipping methods.
6. Reporting & Miscellaneous Tasks
Provide regular reports and insights to support business decision-making.
Attend trade shows, conduct online research, and network with potential suppliers and partners.
Perform any ad hoc tasks assigned by the direct superior
What we're looking for
Proven experience in sourcing and/or procurement roles, preferably within the industrial or manufacturing sector
Strong administrative and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to multitask
Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SAP B1 (added advantage)
A team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and achieve targets
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
