Job Description & Requirements

• Responsible for preparing a variety of bread, buns, rolls, loaves and other baked goods in line with Violet Oon Singapore’s recipes and quality standards.

• Ensure consistent dough preparation, proofing, and baking techniques across all bread products.

• Monitor baking supplies such as flour, yeast, eggs, and ensure timely and cost-efficient ordering within budget.

• Maintain the cleanliness, safety and hygiene of the bakery station and adhere to all health regulations.

• Inspect and maintain equipment such as mixers, ovens and proofers to ensure proper function.

• Guide and support bakery assistants to improve work processes and ensure product quality.

• Work closely with the Pastry Chef and Head Chef to plan production and support menu development.

• Be physically present and hands-on in all daily baking operations.

• Demonstrate new baking techniques and methods to junior staff when necessary.

• Assist in updating recipe cards and contribute to new bread and bakery item development.

• Ensure proper stock rotation and minimise wastage in daily production.

• Adhere to all rules, policies, and safety procedures set by the company.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience:

• Minimum Diploma qualification.

• At least 1 year of relevant bakery experience preferred.

• Strong command of English (spoken and written).

• Basic Microsoft Office knowledge.

• Reliable, punctual, and has a strong sense of responsibility.

• Positive and committed team player with a can-do attitude.

Work Hours:

• 44-hour work week based on an alternate 5/6-day schedule.
