$14/hour | WFH | 3-Month Contract

We’re hiring a Language Translator fluent in English and Mandarin to support live interpretation for US and China-based stakeholders. This is a fully remote, night shift role based in Singapore, with potential extension based on performance and business needs.

Job Details:

• Salary: $14 per hour

• Contract Duration: 3 months (renewable)

• Work Arrangement: Fully Work From Home (within Singapore)

• Work Days: 5-day work week (scheduled across Mon–Sun)

• Working Hours: 8-hour shifts between 9:00 PM – 9:00 AM (based on roster)

• Internet: Stable home Wi-Fi (cable modem, DSL, or fibre optics)

• Device: Smartphone, iPad, or laptop (Huawei & Kaspersky devices not permitted)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver accurate Mandarin-English translation services for US and China stakeholders.

• Maintain neutrality and composure during audio interpretation, especially in high-stress or emotional scenarios (e.g. 911 calls, end-of-life discussions, pregnancy termination, vaccinations, or topics involving sexual orientation).

• Demonstrate strong listening, retention, and note-taking abilities to ensure precise interpretation.

• Translate all details of conversations faithfully, staying prepared for complex or sensitive calls.

• Convey the correct meaning and context by adhering strictly to professional interpreting protocols — no omissions or additions.

• Speak clearly and respectfully in both languages, using correct pronunciation and tone.

• When appropriate and with permission, explain cultural references to avoid miscommunication.
