JOB DESCRIPTION:
Assist procurement manager with procurement-related matters.
Create purchase orders from purchase requisitions from Project Team.
Liaising with vendors to obtain project or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
Obtain price quotes from multiple suppliers.
Interact with the suppliers on day to day basis.
Data entry and filing paperwork.
Expedite delivery of goods to users.
Liaising with Account on matters on invoicing.
Ad hoc administrative duties.
JOB REQUIREMENT:
Preferable from building and construction firms
Knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures, including vendor qualification and performance monitoring is an added advantage.
Advanced computer, specifically Microsoft office.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and creative thought processing skills.
Team player & able to work under pressure/ demanding pressure at times.
Effectiveness & efficiency of negotiations (cost/benefit).
Attention to detail and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a high paced environment independently and with time constraints.
Must be pro-active, patient, right attitude, initiative, independent and solution-oriented
Able to start work immediately is an added advantage.
Willing to work for 5.5 working days
