Senior / Lead HVAC Design Engineer - #1100652

Responsibilities

• Lead or support engineering efforts for new build, retrofit, or repair projects in the marine sector.

• Oversee and guide a team of engineers, ensuring timely and accurate completion of design deliverables.

• Coordinate with third-party consultants for integration of engineering work and adherence to project requirements.

• Develop comprehensive 3D models and detailed engineering drawings, such as ducting layouts and supporting documentation for prototype fabrication.

• Review and validate a range of mechanical and piping drawings, including layouts, isometrics, equipment installation, and outfitting details to ensure alignment with specifications and classification standards.

• Regularly maintain and update 3D modeling software databases to ensure engineering attributes are accurate and up to date.

• Liaise with classification authorities and vessel owners to secure design approvals and certifications.

• Address and resolve technical queries or issues raised by stakeholders or regulatory bodies.

• Provide technical insights and expert guidance to both internal teams and external partners.

• Ensure engineering documentation meets internal quality standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

• Attend tests and sea trials when necessary to validate engineering outcomes and support commissioning activities.

Requirements

•  Minimum Degree in Mechanical / Marine / Offshore or Naval Architecture.

• Minimum of 7 years of HVAC Engineering Design Experience in Marine / Onshore / Offshore industry.

• Candidates with Minimum of 10 years HVAC Engineering Design in Singapore Construction Industry are welcome to apply.

• Strong knowledge of HVAC marine international design codes, Classification/Statutory Rules and Regulations.
