Purpose of the Role
The Subsea Manager, APAC, is the regional lead for OSRL’s subsea business, responsible for delivering expert engineering support and consultancy services related to subsea well intervention and source control emergency response. This role combines technical leadership with business development, stakeholder engagement, and service delivery. The successful candidate will bring deep-water operational expertise, a strong background in subsea systems, and the ability to represent OSRL at industry forums, driving growth and excellence across the APAC region.
Main Accountabilities
Business Development
Identify, develop and manage the implementation of subsea engineering projects.
Identify and develop opportunities for subsea consultancy services, particularly those aligned with SWIS (Subsea Well Intervention Services).
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including SWIS subscribers, regulators, and industry groups across the APAC region.
Engage with clients involved in drilling operations to generate qualified leads and promote OSRL’s preparedness services.
Collaborate with internal teams to prepare compelling proposals and marketing materials.
Consultancy & Service Delivery
Lead and deliver high-quality subsea consultancy projects, including Source Control Emergency Response Planning (SCERP), training, and exercises.
Act as the regional focal point for SWIS preparedness, ensuring effective execution of subsea and source control projects.
Work with Alliance Partners and internal teams to develop and enhance preparedness products and services.
Industry Representation
Represent OSRL at conferences, seminars, and technical forums to share expertise, promote services, and strengthen the organization’s industry presence.
Qualifications & Experience Requirements
Subsea technical background – Engineering degree qualified.
Industry knowledge of oil and gas operations.
Extensive background in subsea and drilling engineering.
Proven consultancy experience and client-facing skills
Strong report writing and consulting capabilities.
