Position Summary: This position will be responsible for ensuring that NDT procedures are carried out to the highest standards, and that all relevant regulatory requirements are met. This role will also involve collaboration with other departments to ensure smooth operations and high-quality service delivery.
Main Responsibilities:
— Perform NDT inspections
Conduct inspection using approved NDT methods (e.g. Ultrasonic testing (UT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), Eddy Current Testing (ET))
Inspect aircraft parts (e.g. engine components, landing gear components, airframe structures, welds, composites)
Follow technical manuals, work instructions and NDT procedures
— Interpret and report results
Evaluate test results against acceptance/rejection criteria
Document findings in inspection reports and maintain accurate records
Report defects to NDT Level 3 or engineering/MRO teams for further analysis
— Equipment and safety compliance
Ensure that all NDT equipment is properly calibrated and maintained
Adhere to company safety policies, MMOE and industrial regulations
— Quality Assurance
Ensure compliance with FAA Part 145, EASA Part 145, AS9100 or NADCAP standards
Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives
— Collaboration
Collaborate with other departments, such as Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Engineering, to ensure smooth operations and high-quality service delivery.
Assist in the development and implementation of NDT procedures, processes, and policies.
— Represent Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies and the General Dynamics network
Minimum Requirements:
— NAS 410 and EN4179 (Level 2 - recognized by CAAS) certified in at least one NDT method (UT, MT, PT, ET or RT)
— FAA/EASA approval may be advantages
— 2 years or more experience in aviation, aerospace or MRO
— Familiar with aircraft materials (e.g. aluminum, titanium and composite)
— Knowledge of composite inspection techniques
— Good communication skills
— Customer orientation
— Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documents from main OEM (e.g. Boeing, Airbus, Gulfstream, Embraer, Falcon, Hawker)
— Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
— Proficient in NDT software and reporting tools
— Strong initiative and self-direction
— Strong personal values corresponding with Jet Aviation values (Trust, Honesty, Alignment, Transparency)
