Server and Network Engineer - #1099916

Summary of Responsibilities:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Server/Network Engineer to join our team. As a Server/Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our server infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security. You will work closely with other members of the IT/ICS team to support our business operations and drive continuous improvement.

The essential responsibilities include:

• Design, deploy, and manage server infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers

• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, and applications on servers

• Monitor server/network health/backups, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource utilization

• Implement security measures to protect servers and data from unauthorized access and cyber threats

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and projects

• Document server configurations, licences, procedures, and troubleshooting steps

• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in server technology and relevant stack

• Support end user computing for HQ and outlets

• Perform and arrange with stakeholders to update/patch device/firewall/server/firmware updates or preventive maintenance activities

• Any other duties as assigned

• Ensure systems comply with internal IT Security policies and Audits

• Be on call 24/7 for critical issues.

 Summary of Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

• 4 years of experience in server administration and networking role

• Proficiency in Linux and/or Windows server operating systems

• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V

• Strong understanding of networking concepts, virtualization and protocols

• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

• Experience with SSL VPN, VLANs, NAT, TCP/IP, Active directory, GPO and Office 365.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

• Open to supporting retail operations
