SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
Responsible to partner the Healthcare Manpower Division to propose and implement various HR strategies and initiatives under the over-arching HR framework for our junior doctors.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Internal/External Stakeholder Engagement/ Collaboration
Engage and collaborate with the Healthcare Manpower Division (HMD) to provide professional advice on the interpretation of HR policies and procedures including employment legislation, performance management, grievance, exit management and HR related queries.
Engage and exchange ideas and insights with external stakeholders at Public Healthcare Institutions/Sponsoring Institutions to foster a positive employee experience.
Build and reinforce strong relationships with key stakeholders to promote teamwork.
Junior Doctors Life Cycle Management
Assume an advisory role to junior doctors to deliver solutions on HR related queries.
Oversee full scope of HR functions while specialising in daily HR operations for the junior doctors, which includes processing a high volume of no pay leave requests and handling queries on leave policies.
Manage off-boarding process (i.e. resignations/ transfers) by ensuring smooth and proper follow-up of cases, which includes compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements (e.g. tax clearance etc for foreign staff).
Review appeals and provide recommendations to support decision making process.
Change Management
Review processes and policies by initiating improvements to internal HR processes, systems and communications towards enhancing service experiences and maximizing efficiencies.
Conduct analysis and provide recommendations based on feedback/ data analysis reports to drive continuous improvement for operational sustainability.
Project Management
Take ownership of key projects by ensuring successful execution from initiation to completion.
Coordinate cross functional teams to manage timelines and monitor progress against deliverables.
Prepare project status updates for presentation to relevant stakeholders.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education Requirement(s):
Degree in Business or related field
Key Qualities:
Experience in HR partnering with a good grasp of payroll knowledge preferably in the healthcare sector
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and work under tight deadlines
Ability to constructively question the status quo and propose constructive and creative ideas to address observed gaps
Ability to solve problems and resolve conflicts
Proactive, adaptable, self-driven and independent
Hands-on team player with excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills
Strong knowledge of employment laws
Proficient in MS Office Applications
Knowledge of SAP-SuccessFactors and data analytical tools will be an advantage
Years of Experience Required:
Preferably minimum 2 years of relevant experience
