Are you an experienced leader in freight and logistics looking for your next impactful role? We are seeking a results-driven and hands-on Freight Operations Manager to lead and optimize our air and sea freight operations. In this role, you'll oversee end-to-end freight activities, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive process improvements—all while leading a high-performing team toward service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Freight Operations ManagementOversee daily air and sea freight operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
Manage cross-border tracking processes and ensure full compliance with international shipping and customs regulations.
Collaborate with carriers, customs agents, and logistics partners to proactively resolve any operational disruptions.
Identify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements to streamline freight activities.
Leverage data and performance metrics to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
Provide clients with proactive shipment updates, addressing concerns and resolving issues quickly.
Work closely with the Customer Focus Team to deliver a seamless and unified client experience.
Ensure strict adherence to international laws, customs requirements, and industry regulations.
Maintain accurate and complete shipment documentation, including customs declarations, delivery records, and tracking updates.
Oversee timely and accurate billing processes and invoice verifications.
Analyze complex freight issues and develop effective, timely solutions.
Act as the escalation point for critical customer issues and lead resolution efforts with professionalism and urgency.
What You Need
Proven Leadership ExperienceAt least 7 years of experience in a leadership role within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate teams in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders clearly and effectively.
Willingness to work closely with frontline teams, understand day-to-day operations, and step in when needed to ensure delivery excellence.
Skilled in mediating team conflicts and solving operational challenges with a calm, solution-oriented approach.
Confident in making timely decisions that balance operational efficiency with team dynamics.
Able to lead teams through change, drive continuous improvement, and adapt swiftly to evolving logistics requirements.
Committed to hitting performance targets, meeting deadlines, and upholding service standards.
