Senior Business Development Executive (Modern Trade) | Food Manufacturing
S$3,700 basic + AWS + Variable Bonus
Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm @ Senoko Dr
The Responsibilities
Develop and execute the modern trade strategy in alignment with the company's overall business goals.
Identify growth opportunities within modern trade channels and design initiatives to capitalize on them.
Lead, mentor, and motivate the modern trade sales and retail operations team to achieve sales targets and objectives.
Develop and implement sales plans, including pricing, promotions, and distribution strategies.
Monitor sales performance, analyze market trends, and adjust strategies as necessary.
Collaborate with distributors to optimize product placement, visibility, and inventory management.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key modern trade customers and stakeholders.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with major retailers and stakeholders.
Address customer issues and concerns promptly to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
Conduct market research and analysis to understand market dynamics, competitive landscape, and consumer behaviour.
Utilize insights to refine strategies and improve market positioning.
Develop and manage budgets for modern trade activities.
Monitor financial performance and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
Collaborate with marketing, procurement, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment of strategies and execution.
Coordinate with internal teams to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
Prepare and present reports on sales performance, market trends, and key metrics to management team periodically.
Utilize data analytics to drive decision-making and optimize trade programs.
Oversee all aspects of daily operations, including sales, inventory management, staffing, and customer service, to ensure smooth and efficient outlet performance.
Recruit, train, and manage team members. Provide ongoing coaching, performance evaluations, and support to ensure high levels of employee engagement and productivity.
The Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
2 years of experience in consumer/modern trade, with a proven track record of success.
Proficiency in data analysis and financial management.
Familiarity with CRM and ERP systems.
