Job Description
We are seeking a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to provide executive leadership and strategic direction for the organisation’s information technology (IT) function. This role is instrumental in driving the institution’s digital transformation agenda and supporting broader IT initiatives in line with national strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong leadership background, a proven track record of fostering effective relationships, and the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex business challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation of IT systems and drive operational enhancements across the organisation.
• Ensure reliable and effective delivery of IT services to support core business operations.
• Translate organisational goals into actionable IT strategies and roadmaps.
• Uphold system integrity and ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
• Manage IT budgets, procurement activities, and internal costing structures.
• Oversee vendor management to ensure optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Partner closely with national healthcare IT agencies and service providers to ensure effective governance and execution of IT initiatives.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 15 years' experience in IT management within the healthcare sector, including at least 10 years in a senior leadership role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience navigating complex, matrixed environments and driving alignment across multiple stakeholders.
