Responsibilities
• Support logistics planning activities such as layout planning, space design, racking configuration, and workflow mapping under the guidance of the Department Manager.
• Analyse logistics operations and provide recommendations for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
• Drive Lean methodologies (5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma) to enhance operational performance.
• Develop and manage SOPs, visual boards, and improvement dashboards.
• Coordinate with IT for WMS integration during system implementation or upgrades.
• Support new business implementation, including facility setup, manpower planning, and equipment procurement.
• Use data tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SQL) for operational performance tracking and reporting.
• Provide warehouse simulation modelling using MS Visio or AutoCAD.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Support long-term warehouse development strategies aligned with business growth.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external vendors during planning and setup phases.
• Conduct on-ground feasibility checks and post-deployment performance reviews.
• Define and track KPIs and present performance dashboards.
• Champion a continuous improvement culture through staff engagement and periodic SOP reviews.
• Evaluate and recommend automation tools and digital warehouse technologies.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in logistics planning, warehouse design, or supply chain operations.
• Prior experience focusing on contract logistics and operational improvements (Lean, cost reduction, 5S, visual boards).
• Strong hands-on involvement in warehouse setup, layout design, and process flow mapping.
• Proficient in MS Visio, AutoCAD or similar design/layout tools.
• Strong knowledge of ERP (SAP/Oracle) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Excellent Excel skills - familiar with Power BI, SQL, or other data analytics tools.
• Knowledge of Lean, 5S, Kaizen, or Six Sigma methodologies.
