Job Responsibilities

• Shipment coordination for specific accounts

• Check freight rates, transportation charges, manpower charges and all other charges in order to prepare the customer’s quotation request.

• Evaluate and analyze carrier quotations and job scopes to ensure alignment with monthly operational and procurement requirements.

• Consolidate and benchmark freight rates from multiple carriers and co-loaders for strategic cost analysis.

• Collaborate closely with regional procurement teams on freight rate negotiations, space allocation decisions, and carrier selection.

• Assess carrier performance against service quality standards and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

• Participate in the preparation and submission of RFQs and RFPs, aligning with business objectives and procurement strategies.

• Coordinate with key account management teams to formulate and support competitive RFQ strategies.

• Prepare and regularly update export tariffs for shippers, overseas offices, and agents to ensure rate transparency and alignment.

• Liaise directly with carriers to resolve service-related discrepancies, including issues with quality, quantity, or shipment exceptions.

• Oversee space planning and allocation with carriers, ensuring optimal utilization based on demand and forecast.

• Supervise the timely communication of critical cargo updates, including vessel delays, cancellations, misrouted shipments, and changes in surcharges.

Job Requirements

• Min Diploma holder, with at least 2 -3 years of experience in the relevant industry

• Good team player with the ability to work independently

• You must be well verse in Microsoft excel (Pivot table & Vlook up), and familiar in Ocean freight procurement rates (from forwarder industry)
