The role
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and deliver high-impact technology initiatives that support business growth and operational excellence. This role involves end-to-end project ownership—from planning and execution to risk management and stakeholder engagement—while ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance with governance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the full project lifecycle, including planning, budgeting, execution, monitoring, and closure of IT projects.
Define project scope, allocate resources, and manage timelines to ensure successful delivery within cost and schedule.
Drive Agile projects as Scrum Master, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
Identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.
Coordinate with cross-functional internal teams, vendors, and external partners to ensure project alignment and integration.
Monitor project performance and generate reports for management and stakeholders.
Ensure projects adhere to governance standards, compliance requirements, and documentation protocols.
Provide operational support on ad hoc IT issues and business needs where necessary.
Coach and mentor team members, supporting their development and maintaining high team performance standards.
Conduct post-project reviews and recommend improvements for future initiatives.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years experience in IT project management roles.
PMP certification or other recognised industry credentials is an advantage.
Proven success in delivering complex IT projects on time and within budget.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and vendor relationships.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
Strong analytical, organizational, and strategic thinking abilities.
Experience in both vendor and end-user environments, with an understanding of service-level management.
Experience in the retail industry is highly preferred.
