The role

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and deliver high-impact technology initiatives that support business growth and operational excellence. This role involves end-to-end project ownership—from planning and execution to risk management and stakeholder engagement—while ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance with governance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full project lifecycle, including planning, budgeting, execution, monitoring, and closure of IT projects.

  • Define project scope, allocate resources, and manage timelines to ensure successful delivery within cost and schedule.

  • Drive Agile projects as Scrum Master, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.

  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional internal teams, vendors, and external partners to ensure project alignment and integration.

  • Monitor project performance and generate reports for management and stakeholders.

  • Ensure projects adhere to governance standards, compliance requirements, and documentation protocols.

  • Provide operational support on ad hoc IT issues and business needs where necessary.

  • Coach and mentor team members, supporting their development and maintaining high team performance standards.

  • Conduct post-project reviews and recommend improvements for future initiatives.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years experience in IT project management roles.

  • PMP certification or other recognised industry credentials is an advantage.

  • Proven success in delivering complex IT projects on time and within budget.

  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and vendor relationships.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and strategic thinking abilities.

  • Experience in both vendor and end-user environments, with an understanding of service-level management.

  • Experience in the retail industry is highly preferred.
