Our client is a reputable A1 main contractor in Singapore, known for delivering complex, high-value construction projects across diverse sectors. With a strong track record in institutional, commercial, residential, and design & build projects, they are seeking a seasoned Project Director to lead and oversee major developments.

The Project Director will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale building projects, ensuring quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness. This is a senior leadership role that requires a strategic thinker with deep local industry knowledge and strong stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end project management for large-scale construction developments (> S$150 million).

• Oversee all phases of project delivery including tendering, design coordination, site execution, and handover.

• Manage project teams including project managers, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, safety protocols, and quality benchmarks.

• Provide strategic input during project tendering and bidding processes.

• Collaborate with clients, consultants, and statutory bodies to ensure project alignment with goals and expectations.

• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.

• Identify and mitigate project risks through proactive planning and control measures.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a PEB-recognized institution.

• Experience: Minimum 20 years of local construction experience.

• At least 8 years in a Project Director capacity, preferably with tender and bid experience.

• Proven track record in managing a minimum of 3 local projects with contract values exceeding S$150 million each.

Project Background:

• Demonstrated experience in managing projects in sectors such as laboratory, institutional, design & build, commercial, and residential developments.

• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• In-depth understanding of Singapore’s construction regulations, processes, and authorities’ requirements.
