Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data & Workflow Engineer to support the design, configuration, and enhancement of enterprise-wide workflow platforms and automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with various workflow/BPM technologies, cloud services, and integrating with diverse enterprise systems. The role involves extending platform capabilities, potentially using custom-built extensions, and contributing to the solutioning and advocacy of advanced workflow automation.

This hybrid role requires a strong foundation in cloud technologies, data engineering concepts, and software development principles, combined with the ability to gather and analyse business requirements, support solution evaluation processes, and deliver tailored workflow automation solutions for standard operational business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and maintain web-based workflow tools and Business Process Management (BPM) platforms to support diverse business processes and automation needs.

• Develop custom extensions or scripts where necessary to integrate or enhance workflow platform capabilities using relevant programming languages.

• Work with stakeholders to define technical requirements, design optimal workflow configurations, and deploy robust solutions.

• Gather and document business and technical requirements meticulously to ensure the solution aligns with business needs and operational objectives.

• Conduct analysis and collect business requirements to assess the relevance of data to the respective business unit and its role in automated processes.

• Collaborate with business units to understand data structures and contribute to data cleansing and tagging processes for workflow integration.

• Automate tasks and batch processes using appropriate scripting languages and automation tools.

• Manage and integrate relevant cloud services (e.g., serverless functions, integration services, app services, managed storage, secrets management) to support scalable and secure workflows.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across various workflow platforms and their integrations with other enterprise systems.

• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, solution designs, and user guides.

• Participate in solution evaluation and presales-type support activities, including solution scoping, proposal contributions, and technical presentations to demonstrate workflow capabilities.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solution architectures and implementation approaches that align with business needs, platform capabilities, and common enterprise technology stacks.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

• 2–4 years of experience in workflow/BPM platform implementation, cloud platforms, and software development/configuration.

• Proficiency in one or more object-oriented programming languages (e.g., C#) for developing custom extensions, scripts, or system integrations for workflow solutions.

• A solid understanding of standard back-office operational business processes (e.g., Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Know Your Customer (KYC)) and the application of workflow automation within these areas.

• Strong familiarity and hands-on experience with leading enterprise workflow automation tools and Business Process Management (BPM) platforms (e.g., Appian, Pega, Outsystems, Nintex, K2, or other similar market-leading or custom-built solutions).

• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) including deployment, integration, and resource management related to workflow solutions.

• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, JavaScript) for task automation and platform customization.

• Understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, authentication mechanisms (e.g., OAuth, JWT), and best practices for service integrations.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team.
