Responsibilities:

• Lead and guide the technical team during critical situations and emergencies.

• Manage fleet maintenance, repairs, budgeting, and inspections to meet company requirements.

• Oversee dry docking reports, cost evaluations, and the selection of shipyards.

• Ensure compliance with class certifications, surveys, and safety regulations.

• Supervise contractors and manage budgets for spare parts and docking.

• Lead initiatives to improve safety practices and implement QHSE policies.

• Conduct regular technical audits and ensure timely vessel inspections.

• Foster teamwork and ownership within the technical department.

Requirements:

• Class 1 Certificate of Competency (COC) with 5+ years of relevant experience.

• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Proficient in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and cost control.

• Familiarity with ISM/ISPS codes and safety management systems.

• Willingness to travel at short notice as needed.
