Senior Security Officer

Reporting to the Security Manager, the incumbent shall be responsible to:  -

• Supervise all security and fire safety duties are performed and maintained in accordance with the hotel standard regulations.
• Supervise in ensuring the safety and security of all assets that is both its peoples, guests, employees and others and their properties.
• Perform duties at lobby, driveway, patrol, escort duty and static duty.
• Monitor and operate CCTV, Fire Alarm System, Carpark system and other equipment in the Fire Command Centre.
• Observe and report any unusual behavior and conduct of the employees or guests in the Hotel.
• Monitor all unauthorized vandalism and removal of property, review and report accidents that happened within the Hotel.
• Inspect all areas for safety and fire hazard; and file reports on safety precautions.
• Handle incidents and investigate cases as assigned. (E.g. Report all recovery of properties or apprehension of offenders.
• Assist in conducting preliminary investigation into any allegation of theft etc.
• Efficient usage and upkeep of communication tools and equipment to enhance productivity of workflow.
• Check and monitor Security duties performed by Agency Security Officers at Security Checkpoint.
• Attending to all hotel emergencies. Render assistance to other Departments as and when required.
• Assist in ensuring the Safety & Security of all assets of the hotel, that is, both its people - guests, employees and others, and their properties.
• Render assistance to other Departments as and when required.
• Ability to cover any post in time of emergency & required to work on extended shift with day off & vacation cancelled in the event of emergency.
• Undertake any other ad-hoc duties, relevant to your role, as assigned by the Manager.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of work experience in a similar capacity in the hotel industry.
• Valid Police Licensing & Regulatory Department (PLRD) Security License.
• Possess relevant Workforce Skill Qualification certifying as a Senior Security Officer.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Any other security related certificates will be an added advantageous.
