HOYA Electronics’ primary focus is on the development of optical and extreme ultraviolet (EUV) photomask blanks, which are critical components in the manufacturing process of the latest-generation chips used in various applications such as artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, and 5G. The company also manufactures a range of photomask blanks used in the production of chips for various applications such as memory, logic, and power devices.

Get to Know the Role 

The Clean Technician is responsible for performing routine machine checks and maintenance, checking and replacing gas cylinders and chemicals, and assisting engineers with machine alarm troubleshooting. Additionally, the role involves supporting engineers in evaluations and experiments, as well as aiding in the start-up of new equipment and processes. 

Essential Responsibilities 

• Perform machine routine check & maintenance. 

• Perform gas cylinder & chemical stock check and replacement. 

• Perform & assist engineer for machine alarm troubleshooting. 

• Assist engineer in evaluation and experiment. 

• Assist engineer in new equipment & process start up. 

• Any ad hoc duties assigned by supervisor/ manager. 

Skills and Competencies Profile 

• Minimum ‘N’ / ‘O’ Levels equivalent, or relevant experience. 

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. 

• Able to work in cleanroom environment and perform overtime as and when necessary.  

• Experience with semiconductor cleaning machine is an advantage. 

• Independent, self-starter with good written, communication and analytical skills.
