We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher with experience in bacterial molecular biology, DNA/RNA sequencing and computational biology. The successful candidate will lead research projects in computational pipeline for omics data from Genomics, Transcriptomics and Proteomics integrated with antibiotic pharmacodynamics data. This includes the genomic analysis of clinically relevant carbapenem-resistant bacteria strains for clinical management.
In this position, the individual will participate in ongoing research projects, recommend and implement technical innovations to develop and drive the data analysis pipeline. Innovative mindset, problem solving abilities, and interaction with other scientific staff are crucial traits in these staff.
Responsibilities:
· Apply advanced statistical and computational methods to analyse large dataset of genomics or antimicrobial resistance profiles.
· Develop and establish bioinformatics pipelines for transmission epidemiology and genetic context of relevant resistance genes.
· Drive and manage ongoing research projects.
Job Requirements:-
· PhD in relevant areas of computational biology, molecular biology, microbiology and pharmacology etc.
· Experience in Gram-negative bacteria transcriptomics, genomics sequencing and proteomics is a plus.
· Candidate experienced in computational software with advanced computer skills for data processing and statistical analysis.
· Contribute to grant writing, manuscript preparation and other dissemination activities such as presentations at local and international meetings.
· Excellent organization and communication skills, written and oral.
· Great team player.
