QA/QC Lead – Electrical & Communications Infrastructure - #1096278

Job Info:

• Salary: Basic up to $6500 + AWS + VB

• Working Hours: Monday - Friday (9am - 6pm); Alternate Saturday (9am - 1pm)

• Location: Pioneer / Site (Island wide)

Job Scope:

• Oversee and manage project quality to ensure alignment with relevant codes, industry standards, equipment specifications, regulatory requirements, and the company’s Quality Management System (QMS)

• Ensure that all construction work meets BCA CONQUAS and Quality Mark standards

• Deploy BIM360 QA/QC dashboards to track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) and project status

• Manage the tracking, distribution, and submission of QA/QC documentation using digital collaboration platforms

• Establish a structured documentation turnover process for all project-related quality records

• Plan and execute system walkdown packages to identify outstanding work, transfer punch list items into the BIM360 Master Punch List, and coordinate approvals for the issuance of Construction Completion Certificates

• Develop and implement QA plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and checklists tailored for electrical works

• Ensure that all electrical installations comply with project specifications, Singapore standards (e.g., SS 638), and Energy Market Authority (EMA) regulations

• Collaborate with consultants and project teams for quality approvals, planning, and audits.

• Conduct internal audits and ensure consistent quality enforcement across all sites

• Supervise and inspect electrical systems such as lighting, power, switchboards, motor control centers (MCCs), earthing, and cable management

• Review and assess testing reports and oversee site testing and commissioning activities, including insulation resistance, loop impedance, and functional testing

• Handle non-conformance reports (NCRs), perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive measures

• Maintain accurate and comprehensive QA/QC records for submissions to BCA and consultants, and for project handovers

• Coordinate with main contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.

• Promote compliance with safety regulations, statutory requirements, and industry best practices on-site

• Deliver QA/QC briefings and training sessions for site electrical teams

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field

• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant QA/QC experience in electrical construction projects

• Familiarity with EMA codes, SS 638, and testing/commissioning procedures

• Strong understanding of LV/MV systems, earthing systems, and project documentation

• Good leadership, communication, and coordination skills

• LEW/REW license is an advantage but not mandatory

• Standards Knowledge: Demonstrate strong familiarity with ISO standards and project quality plans, including the ability to prepare quality control plans

• Audit Experience: Show proficiency in conducting quality assurance audits for both projects and organizations
