You will play a critical role in making high-quality, research-ready data available to support translational and AI research through data engineering initiatives such as data cleaning, structuring, and standardisation. You will assist in mapping clinical datasets to standardised frameworks such as the OMOP Common Data Model, implementing Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques for unstructured data processing, and contributing to the de-identification and secure linkage of clinical and operational datasets for multimodal and cross-cohort studies.
You will work with principal engineers to develop and refine de-identification frameworks, assist in securing data linkage, and the automate analytical workflows to support multimodal and cross-cohort research studies. You will use strong analytical skills and collaborate with researchers, data scientists, and IT teams to enhance data usability for AI-driven healthcare research.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or Health Sciences-related disciplines, with 3-6 years of relevant working experience in data engineering, informatics, or biomedical sciences
Knowledge in SQL, Python, R, data visualisation
Experience with LLM fine tuning and/or RAG is an advantage
Experience in healthcare data engineering, working with EHR/clinical systems and familiarity with clinical terminologies is an advantage
Knowledge in principles of data provisioning and linkages for interdisciplinary intra- and inter-institutional research
Team-driven with strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills
Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to data challenges
