Responsibilities:

  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly, year-end, and ad-hoc financial and management reports for internal and external stakeholders, including local management, Group, and statutory bodies.

  • Ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accounting standards and Group policies.

  • Conduct financial analysis and commentary on the Bank’s performance.

  • Liaise with internal departments and external partners to ensure reliable sourcing of data.

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations related to fixed assets, intangible assets, leases, taxes, and financial instruments.

  • Ensure smooth operation of related systems and troubleshoot issues in collaboration with internal teams and vendors.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Participate in automation initiatives and reporting system enhancements to align with evolving data and compliance requirements.

  • Support in retrofitting reports and processes due to changes in internal or external reporting needs.

  • Involve in system testing (SIT/UAT) and ensure accurate reflection of financial reporting requirements.

  • Contribute to cross-functional projects or finance-led initiatives aimed at enhancing reporting accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness.

  • Assist in mapping financial reporting requirements in system implementations or enhancements.

  • Manage reporting and payment processes for government-backed loan programmes.

  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in submissions and liaison with relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Chartered Accountant qualification preferred.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in audit or accounting, ideally in the banking or financial services sector.

  • Experience in a retail or commercial bank is an advantage.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with SAS or other data analysis/reporting tools.

  • Strong understanding of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.

  • Meticulous with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
