Key Responsibilities

Material & Product Testing

• Perform mechanical, physical, and durability tests following international standards (ASTM, ISO, BS, EN).
• Assist in developing and refining testing methodologies.

Laboratory Operations & Equipment Maintenance

• Operate and maintain testing equipment, including Universal Testing Machines (UTM), hardness testers, impact testers, and fatigue testers.
• Conduct sample preparation, measurements, and test execution with precision.
• Perform routine maintenance checks, troubleshoot malfunctions, and coordinate with senior engineers and vendors for repairs.

Data Documentation & Compliance

• Accurately document test results, observations, and deviations.
• Generate reports in compliance with laboratory quality management systems and ISO 17025 accreditation.
• Ensure traceability of test data for audits and client verification.

Safety & Quality Assurance

• Follow laboratory SOPs, safety guidelines, and risk assessments when handling testing machines and hazardous materials.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to enhance safety and efficiency.
• Assist in internal and external audits by maintaining proper records and compliance documentation.

Research & Development (R&D) Support

• Contribute to R&D projects for new test methods and equipment upgrades.
• Participate in inter-laboratory proficiency testing and validation studies.
• Stay updated on new testing standards and industry best practices.

Job Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of material testing concepts and laboratory safety.
• Ability to analyze and compile test data accurately.
• Willingness to work in a laboratory environment with strict safety protocols.
