Key Responsibilities

• Deliver training on animal habitat requirements demonstrating knowledge of enclosure preparation, maintenance procedures, and environmental needs for various species.

• Teach animal health assessment techniques covering signs of disease, reproductive health indicators, nutritional assessment, and proper documentation of animal conditions.

• Train participants on proper animal handling techniques including species-specific capture, restraint, and transportation of animals in accordance with welfare standards.

• Provide education on animal husbandry principles incorporating population management, breeding strategies, and development of appropriate animal welfare assessment protocols.

• Deliver training on animal enclosure design covering structural requirements, habitat enrichment, vermin control, and evaluation of enclosure effectiveness for specific species.

Qualifications

• WSQ Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA)/ WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP) compulsory

• Minimum 2 years of experience in professional animal care/ training experience

• Knowledge of current animal husbandry techniques, welfare standards, and industry practices
