Our client is seeking a Workplace Safety and Health Officer to join their team!

What you'll be doing?

• Risk Assessment: Identify and assess workplace risks, recommending practical measures to eliminate or minimize hazards.

• Safety Implementation: Assist in implementing safety measures and procedures to control workplace risks effectively.

• Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents and incidents, providing advice on preventive measures to avoid recurrence.

• Regulatory Compliance: Work closely with relevant authorities to ensure adherence to safety and health regulations.

• Safety Management: Administer and implement an effective Safety and Health Management System in line with current legislation.

• Auditing: Conduct Environmental, Health, and Safety audits as per OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 requirements.

• Training: Prepare and conduct EHS training for all employees based on risk assessments and safe work procedures.

• Performance Monitoring: Measure and monitor WSH performance, discussing results in committee meetings.

• Site Liaison: Attend construction site safety meetings and assist site safety personnel with incident management.

• Continuous Improvement: Review and update the Safety and Health Management System to incorporate new regulations or amendments.

Who are they looking for?

• Educational Background: Possess a Specialist Diploma in WSH and/or Bachelor's Degree in Workplace Safety and Health or related field.

• Professional Certification: Hold a MOM registered WSH Officer certification with Level C Certificate in WSH.

• Experience: At least 3 years of relevant work experience as a WSH Officer.

• Additional Certifications: BizSafe Level 4 Certification and Fire Safety Manager (FSM) Certification.

• Language Skills: Proficiency in English to effectively communicate safety procedures and regulations.

• Mobility: Preferably possess a driving license or own vehicle for site visits and inspections.
