Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer to join our team at our biofuel process plant in Tuas. The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing and overseeing safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. This role requires at least one year of experience in a similar position, preferably within the biofuel or chemical processing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards.

• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.

• Provide safety training and education programs to employees to promote a culture of safety awareness.

• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.

• Maintain accurate records of safety-related activities, including training sessions, inspections, and incident reports.

• Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and conduct regular drills.

• Stay updated on the latest safety regulations and best practices to ensure continuous improvement of safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Safety Officer in a biofuel, chemical processing, or similar industrial environment.

• Strong knowledge of local safety regulations and industry standards.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to speak and write Chinese to communicate with our Chinese associates.

• Ability to identify potential hazards and implement effective solutions.

• Certification in safety management or related fields is a plus.

• Candidates who are SCDF registered Fire Safety Manager will be an advantage, salary will commensurate with the qualification.

• Working Hours: 8.30am – 5.30pm (Mon to Fri); 8.30am – 12.30pm (Sat – WFH)

• Company transport provided at Jurong East MRT
