Senior/ Executive, Project Construction (Retail) - #1093567
DFI Retail Group

The Opportunity
We are looking for a Project Construction Executive to manage the end-to-end delivery of supermarket renovation projects — from business case development to completion and handover.
You will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards, working closely with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and contractors.
This is a key role for those who thrive in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple renovation or fit-out projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
Lead supermarket renovation projects independently from planning through to handover.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, within budget, and with risk mitigation measures in place.
Coordinate across departments to gather project requirements, prepare project scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and risk assessments.
Manage external vendors and contractors to drive timely, high-quality project execution.
Produce schematic design for M&E works for retail units.
Review and approve drawings, documents, reports, and material submissions.
Oversee site activities; conduct weekly construction meetings to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Maintain project documentation, reporting, and communications for stakeholders and senior management.
Track project milestones, budgets, procurement, and risks across assigned new, refit, refresh, and closure projects.
Manage change control processes, impact assessments, approvals, and issuance of change orders.
Lead or support the tender process for service and equipment procurement.
Generate M&E Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and support business case costings.
Drive value engineering initiatives to optimize costs without compromising customer experience.
Ensure project data integrity and maintain accurate project records.
Use project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, AutoCAD) to plan and track progress.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years’ experience in retail construction project management or a related field.
Proven track record managing multiple renovation, fit-out, or new store build projects independently.
Strong knowledge of M&E works, local building regulations, and compliance standards (Electrical & CP codes, safety, and government requirements).
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, contracts, work letters, and drawings.
Skilled in coordinating internal stakeholders and external vendors to meet project objectives.
Strong budgeting, cost control, and risk management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Project is an advantage.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels.
Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
